Sanjukta Wagh
Kathak Artist and Educator, Co-founder, beej
Performer, choreographer, teacher and curator, Sanjukta Wagh has trained extensively under in Kathak and Hindustani Music. Her engagement with theatre and abhinaya, her year-long experience at the Laban Centre of Dance, London, her love of literature and deep unease with comfort zones, have led to her interdisciplinary and exploratory mode of work. She is the founder of an interdisciplinary initiative called beejin Mumbai which is engaged in exploring alternative methods of classical dance pedagogy.

Hanne M. de Bruin
Co-founder and director, Kattaikuttu Sangam
Hanne M. de Bruin holds a Ph.D. in Indology and Performance studies from the University of Leiden, Netherlands. In 2002 Hanne left an academic career to work full-time for the Kattaikuttu Sangam in Tamil Nadu, a not-for-profit initiative that aims to uphold the prestige and quality of Kattaikkuttu folk theater. She is the organisation’s programme director, principal fundraiser, dramaturg and costume designer. She has provided, the first-ever Tamil-English translation of an all-night Kattaikkuttu play, Karna Moksham or Karna’s Death (1998) and has co-edited books and written essays on Indian popular theatre, the role of women performers and the work and new productions of the Sangam.
Kavya Iyer
Coordinator and moderator, Redefining the Contemporary - India
Originally from Kolkata, India, Kavya is currently a dance researcher, teacher, choreographer and performer in Paris, France. She is also working as a research assistant with ArtX, an Indian arts and culture consultancy. She graduated from Choreomundus - an International Master in Dance Heritage, Practice, and Knowledge, in September 2020. Trained primarily in the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam, she has also explored other genres such as Kathak, Bhangra, Contemporary and Kuchipudi. She is also an avid yogini, elements of which she actively incorporates in her movement practice. Kavya firmly believes that the arts and heritage sector can be great drivers of social change.

Divya Ravi
Practitioner and Performing Artist, Bharatanatyam
Divya Ravi is a Bharatanatyam practitioner, performing artist and choreographer. A graded artist of Doordarshan and empanelled with the Ministry of Culture for Festivals of India Abroad, Divya has extensively performed at dance festivals in India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Hong Kong, UK and China. Her solo choreographic works MANJARI, SARVASYA, POEMS OF LOVE, SAARINI and NARMADA have been lauded for their thought-provoking premise and creative choreography.

Meher Malik
Experimental Movement Artist, Belly Dance Fusion
Meher Malik is one of the pioneers of belly dance in India and the founder of India's premier belly dance/fusion school - Banjara School of Dance. Her vision goes beyond dance and believes that movement must be used as a means to healing, empowerment and enlightenment. Her first love is the research of movement across cultures and finding the common thread, to be able to communicate through a global unspoken language. Being a product of fusion herself, being born in a family of contrasting beliefs, having lived abroad, travelling the world, speaking multiple languages, Fluid Fusion Flow is what defines her process and form of expression.
